78 day till Ruckus!

It finally happened, Construction on our new cowboy town has started. Last weekend the ITSASS construction company crew really got to work. The Bordello stage is up with new roof and front porch but still needs some repainting. The greener Pastures cemetery is up and needs some painting done. The construction for the church has stared but just barely. We have the fort and the corral laid out ready to blast the post holes. Gunny how hard is it to put a post in the ground there? It took a jack hammer and a good set of post hole diggers and a few gallons of Gatorade and anybody’s guess how much Advil, to get 8 post holes dug. Trader John is going to try again this week to get his auger working, that will save on Gatorade and Advil. We have the Cabin and the old jail we can bring out as soon as we can. The next work day will be July the 11th at 7:00 until it’s too hot to work. I would like to thank the work crew that braved the heat Saturday and the cool day we had Sunday. They did a great job.

There will be a Ruckus meeting after the shoot Sunday the 12th. We are going to need volunteers to run side matches, do the scoring, help with shooter check in and a host of different duties. We are looking fun ideas for side matches.

We had a great turnout for the Red castle club meeting Monday night. I want to thank everyone for bringing guns to play show and tell with. Did everyone get to look at Marshal Pace’s gun. It was Hue O’Brian’s pistol from the TV show Wyatt Earp.  There was lots of interest in cowboy shooting and in the cowboy guns we had to show them.

How is the 9:00 am start time for everyone in the summer time? Does that need to be changed? Do we have enough interest in the Wednesday shoot to bring it back?
